Silverwood Lake State Recreation Area is off Hwy 138 above the Cajon Pass: swimming only at the buoyed, lifeguarded Sawpit + Cleghorn beaches, year-round fishing (CA license 16+), boating/marina, picnics, camping, and the Pacific Crest Trail nearby. Part of the State Water Project. Hours change by season and there's a day-use fee: check before you go.
